New York , NY- August 27th , 2014 - For the third consecutive year, Audemars Piguet was the Official Timekeeper sponsor of The Barclays Golf Tournament at Ridgewood Country Club in Paramus, New Jersey. As part of the tournament’s opening events, Audemars Piguet proudly sponsored the Draw Party on Tuesday, August 19th , prior to Wednesday’s pro-am golf tournament. In addition, Audemars Piguet was the 10th Hole Sponsor of the pro-am and had placement of five Audemars Piguet clocks throughout the course. Further branding opportunities included advertising on the tournament’s leaderboards as well as having a Royal Oak Offshore Chronograph 42mm on display during the Draw Party.

 

Audemars Piguet “Played Golf” with Two Events In One Week

 

Audemars Piguet was Official Timekeeper Sponsor of The Barclays Golf Tournament as well as hosted the Audemars Piguet Golf Trophy 2014 with Brand Ambassadors Peter Hanson, Bud Cauley and Ian Poulter

Following the Barclay’s tournament, Audemars Piguet ambassadors, Peter Hanson, Ian Poulter, and Bud Cauley participated in the Audemars Piguet Golf Trophy 2014 at nearby Liberty National Golf Club in Jersey City. It was a rare opportunity for Audemars Piguet clients to play with brand ambassadors against the backdrop of the stunning mile-long waterfront affording breathtaking views of the Manhattan skyline – most notably the Statue of Liberty.

 

The winners of the Audemars Piguet Golf Trophy were decided in a scramble with the best ball of the four teams of players. Teams consisted of two foursomes and players on the winning team were each awarded an Audemars Piguet golf bag.

A raffle then awarded four players a pair of Berluti golf shoes, which are being launched by the Maison on September 2014. Swing, the first ready-to-wear golf shoe made by Berluti, allies an unprecedented fusion of traditional savoir-faire and state-of-the-art technology.

 

Hanson, Poulter, and Cauley each selected to wear Audemars Piguet watches as follows. Poulter sported a Royal Oak Openworked Extra-thin in rose gold. Hanson played in a Royal Oak Offshore Chronograph 44mm in black ceramic. Cauley wore a stainless steel Royal Oak Offshore Chronograph 42mm. The skill and precision the elite athletes displayed on the course, once again perfectly embodied the brand’s philosophy “to break the rules, you must first master them”.
