BOVET Unveils Four New Timepieces in Geneva

Focusing on Bovet’s Virtuoso II specialty caliber, released first at last year’s Salon and notable for being the first non-tourbillon movement made entirely in-house by Bovet, the 2015 collection featured three new timepieces utilizing this specialty caliber plus one master Grand Complication. Rounding out the novelties were a few new interpretations of current Bovet timepieces.

The first novelty, the Amadeo® Fleurier Mr. Bovet, extends the Virtuoso II caliber movement to the signature Amadeo® case system. The patented double co-axial seconds carriage is now put to good use with the reverse hand-fitting of the Mr. Bovet timepiece that allows for an additional hours and minutes dial on the reverse side.

Following the theme of the Mr. Bovet, the Amadeo® Fleurier Virtuoso V is another novelty featuring the new caliber within the Amadeo® system; this time with the addition of a jumping hour with retrograde minutes. The Virtuoso V has been given additional detail with 4 engraved plates on the front adding depth to complication presented so elegantly.

The third timepiece presented with the specialty Virtuoso II caliber is the Recital 17, which is a triple time zone set within a Dimier case, which is recognized by its crown at 3 o’clock. In addition to the second and third time zones each having a city disk and day/night indicator, there is a beautiful double moon phase located at 6 o’clock.

Finally, Bovet unveiled the Amadeo® Fleurier Tourbillon Braveheart, a timepiece with an unprecedented 22 day power reserve with a total of 6 patents needed to create the unique tourbillon and efficient winding system. The level of detail afforded by the House of Bovet in bringing the Braveheart to life is a story you will have to read to believe.
