Aug 14, 2013,11:29 AM
August 13, 2013 – A new standalone Patek Philippe boutique, managed
by Cortina Watch, officially opens today, making Malaysia one of the
few countries in South East Asia to feature the brand’s intimate retail
concept and sophisticated identity. Located on the Ground Floor of the
prestigious Suria KLCC, the Patek Philippe boutique has been crafted to
enhance the overall guest experience through the creation of a bespoke
environment covering 136 sq meters.
In reinforcing the brand’s
spirit where the exceptional is the rule, the space created is as
uncompromising as its timepieces. The boutique features the use of
iconic materials such as birdseye maple wood and Indian rosewood,
combined with modern brass in vintage burnished finishes.
Luxurious
items, like the Patek Philippe Chandelier, along with the use of
precious materials create a high-end environment providing a perfect
backdrop for Patek Philippe watches. The exclusive Patek Philippe
Chandelier and table lamps were developed and produced in collaboration
with Baccarat. The boutique is further accentuated with custom-made
accessories such as the Calatrava Cross panels, floor rugs and
identifiable visuals that help facilitate the organization of the sales
area whilst enhancing the luxurious intimacy of the VIP room.
Through
the immaculate planning of space and application of design principles
that enhances the overall client experience, the boutique reaffirms
Patek Philippe’s meticulous attention to detail and attention to
quality.
“With the opening of this flagship Patek Philippe
boutique in Kuala Lumpur, more of our customers will have the
opportunity to appreciate the perfect and timeless aesthetics, quality,
workmanship, and lasting value of Patek Philippe timepieces in an
exclusive milieu,” said Mr Thierry Stern, President of Patek Philippe
SA. Mr Tay Liam Khoon, Managing Director of Cortina Watch Sdn Bhd, said
that “the boutique will provide a dedicated sales outlet for the Patek
Philippe Watch Collection.”
“The opening of the boutique is
timely as there is already a sizable number of watch connoisseurs in
Malaysia, and for which the boutique will create an additional avenue
for such collectors and enthusiasts to view the timepieces in an
environment that mirrors the excellence of the watches,” added Mr Tay.
In
conjunction with the opening of its first standalone boutique in
Malaysia, Patek Philippe will be organizing an exhibition of over 100
timepieces, including its Baselworld 2013 collection.
The
exhibition will take place within the boutique during business hours
between August 14th and August 25th and will feature the following key
highlights:
- Patek Philippe Calatrava Ref. 5227, featuring a unique masterpiece of the case maker’s art.
