Bulgari Via Condotti Grand Opening
March 20 2014- To celebrate the opening of its historical store and 130thAnniversary Bulgari is proud to gift the City of Rome 1.5 million Euros to renovate the most prestigious of backdrops and Rome’s iconic monument, the Spanish Steps.
After the traditional ribbon cutting ceremony in the presence of Ignazio Marino, Mayor of Rome, and Bulgari’s ambassadress Carla Bruni-Sarkozy, guests were welcomed into the splendid new store by Paolo Bulgari, Nicola Bulgari and Jean-Christophe Babin – Chairman, Vice-Chairman and CEO of the Bulgari Group. There they were met by a magnificent selection of exclusive creations all specially designed for the occasion, including the Ultimate Temptation necklace, featuring over 60 carats of fancy-shaped diamonds and a 12.16 carats drop.
The guests then strolled to the Spanish Steps under the eyes of journalists from international media, photographers capturing portraits of royalty, some of the most famous stars from the world of entertainment, and other people of international fame.CARLA BRUNI-SARKOZY, the Italian-French singer and former French First Lady was joined by Taiwanese actress and model SHU QUI, ADRIEN BRODY, “The Pianist” Academy Award-winning American movie star, JON KORTAJARENA, the Spanish model and actor, VALERIA GOLINO, the Italian actress and director, ISABELLA FERRARI, “The Great Beauty” actress and the Italian ambassadress for Bvlgari-Save the Children, Italian actress LAURA MORANTE.
An evening fit for royalty, the event was populous with iconic princesses such as: LORENZA VON UN ZU LICHTENSTEIN, MATILDE BORROMEO VON FURSTENBERG, MAFALDA VON HESSE D’ASSIA, MARIA PACE ODESCALCHI (RECCHI), VITTORIA WINDISCH-GRAETZ, SOFIA WINDISCH-GRAETZ, LARISSA WINDISCH-GRAETZ, SOFIA ODESCALCHI, BIANCA DI SAVOIA AOSTA (ARRIVABENE), ALESSANDRA BORGHESE, LILLY ZU SAYN WITTGENSTEIN BERLEBURG, CLOTILDE DI SAVOIA, GLORIA VON THURN UND TAXIS, SANDRA TORLONIA, ELISABETH VON THURN UND TAXIS and the BARONESS VON THYSSEN-BORNEMISZA.
