Officine Panerai Opens The Face of Time Exhibition at ION Orchard in Singapore
Singapore, 26 June, 2014 - High end Italian watchmaker Officine Panerai inaugurates an exclusive exhibition in the atrium of ION Orchard Singapore, which will be open from 25th June to 1st July 2014. It’s a rare opportunity, for watch enthusiasts, to discover the brand’s history and rich heritage, thanks to the showcase of a selection of Panerai’s 2014 novelties and iconic timepieces representing the brand different era. The exhibition is also a unique experience to discover the wide range of in-house movements developed by the brand in their Manufacture in Neuchatel (Switzerland).
The Face of Time Exhibition, as implied by its name, refers to the dial, one of the most distinctive elements of the Panerai watch. It is an elegant expression of simplicity and functionality, thanks to its unique design which has remained unchanged since 1936.
The exhibition is made up of the signature luminous dial with the Super-LumiNova® effects on the hour indices and reflects the new classification of the Panerai collections, after the name of the watch cases: Radiomir, Radiomir 1940, Luminor 1950 and Luminor.
One highlight of the exhibition’s success will be the participation of one of Officine Panerai’s professional watchmakers who will give live demonstrations in a designated area inside the exhibition. This arrangement allows intimate discussions and sharing between the experienced watchmaker and watch enthusiasts without any barriers. Another highlight is a special display of the making of the Luminor case in Ceramic – a material of choice in the world of haute horlogerie - to showcase Officine Panerai’s innovative approach in the world of materials.
The ION Orchard boutique was the first flagship boutique to launch its latest design concept in Asia Pacific. The interior follows a simple and classic Italian design which takes inspiration from the history and DNA of the Florentine watch brand. Guests are welcome to explore a range of selective timepieces in precious materials inside the VIP area in the boutique.
