[Hong Kong, 27 June 2014] FRANCK MULLER, the Geneva-based prestigious watch brand acclaimed for its exceptional craftsmanship, unveiled its first four-storey Maison in Hong Kong today. Located at the prime retail location on Sharp Street East, Causeway Bay, the 9,500-square-foot flagship showcases the watchmaker’s pursuit of innovation and beauty not just through their timepieces, but also with two sophisticated, one-of-a-kind culinary destinations. This impeccable dining experience serves to complement the most exquisite and complicated timepieces from Watchland (the brand’s headquarters in Geneva), to delight customers with a brand-new shopping experience.

FRANCK MULLER held a grand opening reception in the Maison to celebrate this remarkable moment with their prestigious guests and connoisseurs of haute horlogerie. Award-winning actress Ms. Carina Lau was invited to join the brand’s Asia-Pacific Ambassador, Mr. Julian Cheung Chi-lam, Mr. Nicholas Rudaz, Director of FRANCK MULLER Group, Dr. Pollyanna Chu, Chairman of FRANCK MULLER Asia, Mr. Kingston Chu, Vice Chairman and Managing Director of FRANCK MULLER Asia, and Mr. Nicholas Chu, Executive Director of Sincere Watch Limited, to unveil the grand opening with a ribbon cutting ceremony in front of the Maison.

Julian caught the spotlight with the FRANCK MULLER Aeternitas Skeleton 2 watch, a technical marvel embodying precision, mechanical excellence and refined aesthetics. Carina graced the occasion further as she appeared with the feminine and bold FRANCK MULLER Quatre Saisons watch set with precious multi-coloured stones, demonstrating the watchmaker’s luxury style.

“With no doubt, the Maison FRANCK MULLER displays the ultimate in luxury, I am happy to be invited to share this momentous occasion with the brand.” said Mr. Julian Cheung Chi-lam, brand’s Asia Pacific Ambassador. Carina also noted, “I am honoured to officiate the opening of the new Maison. It is truly ingenious for FRANCK MULLER to open gourmet restaurants within the store and perfectly reflects its innovative spirit.”

The reception was followed by a grand opening party at night held in the four-storey Maison. The star-studded evening saw the glamourous presence of renowned guests, including Vanness Wu, Chrissie Chau, Bernice Liu, Bianca Wu, Wesley Wong (Angie Chiu’s Son), Cally Kwong, Orlando Ho, Mona Ch'ng etc.

Attending guests were mesmerized by the enchanting magical performance as they explored the four-storey flagship accompanied by upbeat music. A silhouette artist interacted with guests as precious souvenirs were created onsite to capture this spectacular occasion.

Highlighting the brand’s pursuit of exquisite designs, the ground floor was embellished with the brand’s iconic Arabic numerals. Guests admired a fascinating range of haute horlogerie masterpieces and learnt more about the art of watchmaking in an inviting and relaxing atmosphere.

On 1/F, for the first time in Hong Kong guests were introduced to an exclusive boutique concept featuring two intriguing independent brands under the FRANCK MULLER group, BACKES & STRAUSS and CVSTOS. Renowned as the masters of diamonds since 1789, BACKES & STRAUSS creates its exclusive luxury timepieces in the world famous workshops of FRANCK MULLER Watchland. CVSTOS is known for its distinctive high-tech approach to design, a perfect balance between traditional watchmaking and state-of-the-art innovation.

Two unique fine dining experiences await guests on the top two floors: FRANCESCO by FRANCK MULLER on the second floor offers Italian fusion cuisine with a Japanese twist, and EIGHTEEN SHARP on the third floor serves contemporary Chinese delicacies, representing a pioneering concept among international watchmakers.

The spacious Maison promises customers a privileged shopping experience featuring a spectacular range of haute horlogerie creations and professional, bespoke service.
