September marked the opening of a long awaited destination for A. Lange & Söhne, the acclaimed fine watch brand from Germany. Within the most exclusive shopping area of Manhattan, at 785 Madison Avenue, the brand will welcome customers and prospects from all over the world.

A. Lange & Söhne Opens Boutique on Madison Avenue

"Precision Beyond Accuracy" will be the main theme of the opening ceremony, on 25 September 2014, which will be attended by Lange CEO Wilhelm Schmid. The new boutique will showcase a vast selection of handcrafted timepieces including celebrated high complications and rare seen novelties. A. Lange & Söhne New York is sure to become a watch aficionado paradise that lives up to the high standards set by the performance and innovation-driven manufactory.

The rooms are designed to take visitors on a journey through the venerable brand's origins and values. The elegant grey of the showcases, a small library, and a watchmaker's workstation accentuate the prestigious ambience of the two-storied boutique with a space of 2,565 square feet. In this unique place outside the Saxon manufactory, time will have a new home.

The first freestanding boutique in New York City has significant implications for the brand, which has continuously expanded its operations in the United States ever since it entered the market in 1995: "The new location is an important element of our international sales strategy. With the opening of our New York boutique we are taking another step on our way to develop a network of own-name stores in the major shopping conurbations of our key markets in Europe, Asia and America. In addition to the brand's two US boutiques, located in Palm Beach and New York, A. Lange & Söhne timepieces can also be found at 18 authorized retailers nationwide. The handcrafted precision timepieces from Saxony are currently available at 13 A. Lange & Söhne boutiques and selected dealers in 62 countries worldwide.
