The 2014 races will take place on Friday, October 31 and Saturday, November 1 at Santa Anita Park and mark the 31st anniversary of the Breeders’ Cup World Championships. The World Championships are considered by many to be the premier thoroughbred horse racing event of the year, attracting the best horses, breeders, trainers, and owners from across the globe. It has also become the unofficial end of the thoroughbred-racing season, often with the Breeders’ Cup Classic race being one of the deciding factor in the Longines World's Best Racehorse Rankings and the Longines World’s Best Jockey Award.

Longines will also proudly provide its timekeeping services to these exciting races and Longines Conquest Classic watches will be presented to the owner, breeder, trainer, jockey and stable staff of the winning horse in the Longines Breeders’ Cup Distaff race, the Longines Breeders’ Cup Turf race and the Breeders’ Cup Classic race. The Swiss watch brand will have a prominent presence throughout Santa Anita Racetrack with branded clocks and banners decorating the course.

In keeping with the brand’s motto that ‘elegance is an attitude’, Longines will welcome to the event its Ambassador of Elegance Simon Baker and organise the Longines Prize of Elegance competition on Friday, October 31 and Saturday, November 1 to celebrate the iconic style of the Breeders’ Cup World Championships. With the help of celebrity judges, Longines will choose the most elegant man and woman and award them each with a magnificent Longines watch.
