ZENITH SCALES NEW HEIGHTS IN ZERMATT

The opening of this boutique, perched at an altitude of 1660 m in the very centre of Zermatt, gave rise to Wednesday's inauguration full of joy and hospitality, in the purest mountain traditions. Around one hundred hand-picked guests had the opportunity to attend this wonderful festive occasion.

Daniel Sieber, CEO of Schindler Haute Horlogerie and Nicolas Meda, International Sales Director at Zenith, jointly cut the ribbon before delivering a welcome speech filled with enthusiasm to celebrate the realisation of this partnership. Nicolas Meda said: "After Lucerne, it was vital for Zenith to have a strong presence in Zermatt, which has become an essential and iconic venue."

Daniel Sieber rejoiced in the opening of this boutique dedicated exclusively to the watches and chronographs of the prestigious firm of the LVMH group: "It is a big challenge to set up two boutiques within 45 m2 here in Zermatt. We will have 4 sales reps on hand continuously to serve the highly demanding and cosmopolitan clientele in one of Europe's most prized resorts. Launching this project with Zenith and TAG Heuer was a natural step for us, and to see it come true this evening is something to really enjoy."

ZENITH MANUFACTURE

Founded in 1865 in Le Locle by visionary watchmaker Georges Favre-Jacot, the Zenith Manufacture quickly became renowned for the precision of its chronometers, for which it has been awarded 2,333 chronometry prizes in just one and a half centuries of existence – the all-time record for pocket watches, on-board instruments and wristwatches alike. Made famous by the legendary El Primero calibre, an integrated automatic chronograph with a column wheel, launched in 1969, and whose high frequency of 36,000 vibrations per hour ensures precision to a tenth of a second, the Zenith Manufacture has since created more than 600 movement variations. The Manufacture is rare in that today it is still located on the exact spot where its founder built the very first workshop.
