This year marked Bovet’s fourth year in partnership with the Hollywood Domino event sponsoring Artists for Peace and Justice. Everyone in attendance helped to celebrate the vast progress made in Haiti since the devastating earthquake of 2010. Since that day, APJ has built the largest free secondary school in Haiti, with the support of a long-term, 5-year partnership with BOVET 1822. In addition, they have provided over 2,500 student scholarships with no sign of halting that progress taking on the mantra of “Let’s Keep Going”. To honor Bovet’s unwavering commitment to empowering the youth of Haiti, APJ announced a new fund for the scholarships of young women and girls. The fund, entitled Brilliant is Beautiful will enable these women to shape their own futures and build a path to success through education.

Mr. Raffy, eminently proud of the success stated, “Our partnership with Artists for Peace and Justice is emblematic of the house of Bovet 1822’s values: quality, integrity, and progress. We are proud to support a cause that shares our commitment to excellence and tonight’s beautiful event will add to our shared legacy.”

Daya Fernandez of Hollywood Dominos, who was blown away by everyone’s support deemed, “It’s a beautiful thing when Hollywood comes out to support such a worthy cause.”

About BOVET 1822

BOVET 1822 is a Swiss ”Maison” of luxury timepieces whose origins date back to 1822, the year in which Edouard Bovet founded their workshop in the picturesque Val-de-Travers region of Switzerland. BOVET is renowned for its pocket watches manufactured for the Chinese market in the 19th century. Today, under the guidance and ownership of Pascal Raffy, a visionary with a passion for Haute Horologerie, BOVET is thriving manufacturing unique timepieces distinguished by their pocket watch inspired form. From extraordinary complications such as tourbillons and minute repeaters, to rare artisanal crafts such as enamel painting and “fleurisanne” engraving, each BOVET timepiece is brought to life under the practiced hand of a BOVET master watchmaker. With a highly limited production annually, BOVET seeks to preserve and cultivate the art and craft of traditional watchmaking, while delighting connoisseurs and collectors.
