In an exciting and never done before move, Swatch and PledgeMusic will work together to present the Emerging Artists Series. This will be Swatch’s first time working extensively in the music vertical in the US. The Emerging Artists Series is unlike anything either company has ever done before. The Series will launch with the Danish artist Oh Land.

SWATCH IS PARTNERING WITH PLEDGEMUSIC TO BRING EMERGING ARTISTS TO THE NEXT LEVEL WITH THE EMERGING ARTISTS SERIES

As an alternative to pledging money, fans will follow the campaign on social media and via the Swatch Emerging Artist Series campaign on PledgeMusic.com at www.pledgemusic.com . When fans follow the campaign, they will get updates and will be able to unlock exclusive artist content.

“In sync with our belief that artists can make the world a better place, at Swatch we have long recognized the power of music to connect, energize and inspire people” said Carlo Giordanetti, Creative Director Swatch International. “We are excited to give our fans the opportunity to tie with music and emerging artists in an innovative and intimate way. The Swatch vibe resonates” .

Through the Swatch Emerging Artist Series campaign page on PledgeMusic.com , Oh Land fans will have the chance to RSVP to intimate, stripped down shows in Swatch stores nationwide, to win artist-signed Swatch watches, and to unlock exclusive video content and updates from the Emerging Artist Series. The first event is a live performance by Oh Land on Sunday, May 3rd in the rotunda at Tysons Corner Center Mall in McLean, VA.

PledgeMusic continuously works to reinvent ways that help artists create and promote their music and give fans personal connections to the artists they love and support.

“Partnering with Swatch on the Emerging Artist Series embodies PledgeMusic’s commitment to connecting artists with their super fans in the most exclusive ways imaginable. Through the Emerging Artist Series, we are giving music fans a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see their favorite artists perform in unique and unexpected settings. These intimate events will elicit emotional bonds between fans and musicians who cannot be replicated anywhere else. This program is a win for artists, fans, brands, and the music industry as a whole.”— Alissa Crevier, Global Head of Brand Partnerships, PledgeMusic

ABOUT Oh Land

Oh Land, began creating a sound that evoked a unique mix of Robyn, Feist, and Lily Allen. Her dance training came into play, too, allowing Oh Land to fill her early performances with choreography and theatrical flourishes. By 2008, she’d signed to a Danish label and released full-length album, Fauna. One year later, she inked an international deal with Epic. Working with Dan Carey, Dave McCracken, and Pharrell Williams, Oh Land spent much of 2010 working on another full-length album. Her first single, “Sun of a Gun,” was released late that year, with a self-titled album following in March 2011. Her third long player, Wish Bone, arrived in 2013. Following its release, Fabricius tried her hand at acting, starring in the 2014 Danish western The Salvation. In November of that year, she released her fourth album Earth Sick and announced that part of the album's proceeds would be donated to Greenpeace's Save the Arctic campaign.
