The art of paper cutting was born in Switzerland in the 16th Century after which immigrants brought it to colonial America in the 18th Century. This very precise art has evolved uniquely all over the world and has adapted itself to different cultural styles.

Paper cutting is still actively used in Switzerland for wall frames. ArtyA first worldwide has accomplished the performance of making dials with this miniature technique. ArtyA's dials feature typical Swiss scenes such as the "Rindyà". At Rindyà decorated cows that have spent the summer in the Alps descend the mountain in a festive way to celebrate the arrival of autumn.
