Yes....
Apr 27, 2024,00:12 AM
As with everything in life! I extracted both wisdom teeth on the left side of my jaw, and the second molar on the upper left due to a large cavity (first one in my lifetime). Only the wisdom tooth in my lower left jaw was impacted and in the process of decaying. I chose to extract the upper one as well simply because the damaged molar adjacent had to go. The 'pleasure' of three extractions by a maxillary surgery veteran was three times $390 (no dental insurance here).... Cheers, Filip

The joys of middle age.... I had not been to a dentist in roughly 15 years, but started having issues with a couple of teeth two months ago, and that culminated this morning with me choosing to have three teeth removed. Anyhow, I had time to relax and sna...
Last time I was in that area I got a parking ticket

In fact, it was at a WPS event. So as I roamed the streets of Santa Monica, via your photos, my subconscious flashed back to "Where have I parked? Did I feed the meter?" You made it real in my mind. Mike

The beachside pictures from Santa Monica were taken last evening, and the Westwood pictures were taken just before my dental appointment this morning due to the dentist office being associated with UCLA. Broxton street parking is excellent for the Westwoo...

Is that a nice/fancy area where UCLA med center is located?
By: ArmisT : April 26th, 2024-22:51
It looks very nice in your pics, but I know many med centers/hospitals tend to be in rougher urban areas, which generally makes sense. At Hopkins, no one would be too surprised to hear gunshots outside during class…that was back in the day, it’s probably ...

The dentist in question is actually a maxillofacial surgeon who both graduated from, and did his residency at UCLA, thus his office is in one of those high rises you see off of Wilshire and Westwood boulevard. I'll be coming back for my follow up appointm...

I'll keep a regular schedule from now on. I did get ahead of myself with not paying much attention other than having proper hygiene for over a decade.... Cheers, Filip

It helps that he’s a friend from high school and a meticulous fella with an old school preference for saving the tooth where possible. I should get a text message from his clinic anytime soon!
I've been fortunate....

To know some really good dentists over my lifetime, courtesy of the fact that I have multiple physicians in my family. This time around, the decision to get rid of two wisdom teeth, and one second molar was totally deliberate on my end since I would not h...
